With the start of the school session right around the corner, the Mayor’s Health Line of the Boston Public Health Commission is proud to announce the MassYouth in Writing Development Project!

Beginning September 1, Boston area high school students will have the opportunity to showcase their writing skills to MA residents.  Every Wednesday, three articles written by Boston youth will be featured on this site.

Articles must be health related.  Topics may include sexual health and education, nutrition, body image, or the effects of violence and drugs in Boston communities.  Students can virtually write about anything, so long as it relates to the physical, emotional, or development health of MA residents.

Students should include their name, age, school, and title their articles.

For submissions or any inquiries, please contact Arielle Newton at anewton@bphc.org or call the Mayor’s Health Line at 617-534-5050.
