MassHealth Seeks Paid Consumer Consultants for 2-4 Months

MassHealth is seeking paid consumer consultants for a 6 person consumer advisory committee.

This committee will help decide what organization MassHealth will hire to provide behavioral health services to MassHealth children and adults under the age of 65 who enroll in the Primary Care Clinician (PCC) Plan.

Consumer advisory members will be paid 20$/hour for up to 96 hours work over the next 2 months.  There is a possible extension of 2 more months of service starting as early as September 1, 2011.

Interested applicants must submit a written request that is received at MassHealth by August 17, 2011 4pm.

Eligibility for applicants is as follows:

-must be current MassHealth members, preferably enrolled in the PCC plan who have used some form of behavioral and/or medical health services

-at least one parent or guardian of a MassHealth minor child

-skills in reviewing lengthy documents

-able to provide advice from a consumer’s point of view that will help MassHealth select the best organization from bidders
