Urban League Released Inequity Report

Posted on July 26, 2011

The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts has released a report discussing the current inequities that Blacks in Boston face. This report focuses on what the Urban League “need[s] to do to make things better”, instead of dwelling on what is wrong in the Black community. This study focuses on areas of health, housing & economic development, education, criminal justice, art and culture, civic engagement, and media.  The Urban League is having the 2011 National Urban League Conference in Boston July 27-30, titled “Rebuild America”.

Focusing on the inequities may seem pessimistic to some folks, but the Urban League seeks to continually improve life for Blacks. Visit the Boston Globe to read more about this topic.
