Bedbugs… if you suspect you may be dealing with them, here’s how to check and find out the reality. Inspect your mattress, box spring, linens for redish-brown stains (blood spots) or sesame seed-like specks (waste). Another way to confirm your suspicion is to catch one. Bed bugs are most active after dawn so make sure to keep a flash light with you when looking for them. Some people react differently to bedbug bites and a symptom that could appear are small itchy raised bumps that form in straight lines. Now if you are a renting tenant and living in a building with three or more rentable units or city owned housing they are responsible for taking care of the situation . If they don’t assist you , report a violation to 311, or in Boston at the Mayor’s Hotline at 617-635-4500.
